Team Europe is one of Team Rynkeby's teams that cycle to Paris every year in aid of children with critical illnesses. The team is an international team consisting of participants from several European countries, and the Team Europe ride to Paris is the ultimate test of strength for those who are experienced exercise cyclists and want to combine a demanding exercise challenge with the community that comes with Team Rynkeby.
The tours vary from year to year, but in the summer of 2026, you can look forward to 14,000 vertical metres over seven cycling stages - and a single transport stage by bus. The tour starts in Aix-en-Provence and includes legendary climbs such as Mont Ventoux, Col de Izoard, Col de Galibier and Col de Madeleine. You'll have six stages with between 2,000 and 3,000 vertical metres and a less demanding stage into Paris, where you'll have an epic finish in Paris together with the other Team Rynkeby teams.
On Team Europe, you can expect to be challenged. But you can also expect to stay in comfortable hotels with at least three stars, where we gather for a communal dinner and start the day with a hearty breakfast. The international camaraderie and the ‘hygge’ along the way is just as important as the physical challenge on the bike.
Team Europe's tour to Paris demands a little extra from you. Not least because, unlike the other Team Rynkeby teams, there won't be as many group training sessions leading up to the trip. Meetings will typically take place online and training will be done individually or in smaller groups. Team Europe is therefore not for those who are new to a race bike.
However, the team doesn't only need riders. We also need volunteer helpers for our service crew. Team Europe is accompanied by around eight helpers who, among other things, set up food at the depots, repair bikes and generally ensure that the tour runs smoothly. If you would like to be part of the service crew, simply select ‘Service’ under ‘Application detail’ when writing your application.
